Philadelphia, PA – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced on Thursday that junior Shannon Duval was named to the Women’s Swimming & Diving Academic All-Conference Team. Of all 10 who were selected as Academic All-Conference members, Duval’s 3.81 GPA was tied for the second highest.

A two-time 2008-09 Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week and one-time Co-Performer of the Week, Duval was a Second Team All-Conference selection at the A-10 Championships in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststrokes.

Aside from her individual performances at the Atlantic 10 Championships, Duval helped set school records in the 200-yard medley relay, 800-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard freestyle relay.

She also went on to set a school and pool record in the 200-yard breaststroke at the Bucknell Trials and, on two separate occasions (St. Bonaventure, Duquesne), Duval recorded three first place finishes.

Against St. Francis (PA), Duval helped La Salle set pool records in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard IM and 100-yard breaststroke.
