PHILADELPHIA - Rodney Green earned his first career Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor on Sunday after leading La Salle to a 3-0 week to wrap up the regular season and the eighth seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship.

Green averaged 23.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and four assists in leading the Explorers to wins over Massachusetts, Fordham and at Saint Louis.

He was one of two players, along with Darryl Partin, to net a career-high 30 points in the Explorers' 97-88 win over Massachusetts last Sunday. Green and Partin became the first duo since Randy Woods and Doug Overton to score at least 30 points in the same game.

Green also scored a team-high 24 points to lead the Explorers over Saint Louis on Saturday night, including game-sealing free throws to thwart a Billiken comeback attempt.

Green shot 52.2 percent from the field on the week, going 23-for-44. He also went nearly 81 percent from the free throw line on 21-of-26 shooting, including a 10-for-11 effort at Saint Louis.

Green and the Explorers return to action on Wednesday (3/11) when they open Atlantic 10 play with No. 9 Saint Louis at noon.
