Neshanic Station, NJ - Mike Benzinger shot an 84 and finished 40th to lead the La Salle University golf team to a 13th place finish at the Peacock Inivtational hosted by Saint Peter's College on a frigid and rainy Tuesday afternoon.

The Explorers finished ahead of St. Francis (NY) and Sacred Heart in the 15 team event on the par 72 course at Neshanic Valley Country Club.

Eddie Carnes holed a 90 in his first collegiate event while Tyler Batory brought in a 92 and Sam Venuti scored a 93.

Matt Krembel (Army) and Nicholas LaBlanca (Manhattan) each shot a two-over 74 to tie for the individual lead with Krembel being awarded the win per tie-breaker (best score on hole #9).

The Explorers have one more tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Championships when they travel to Annapolis, MD for the 36-hole Navy Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
