Annapolis, MD - Steve Sieracki finished in 45th place out of 95 golfers and the La Salle Explorers came in 1th place at the 36-hole Navy Spring Invitational held Saturday and Sunday at the Naval Academy Country Club.

Sieracki's 75 was tops for the La Salle squad on Saturday but he added five strokes on the final day to finish at 155.

Teammates Mike Benzinger and Tyler Batory tied for 67th by bringing in a 159.

Sam Venuti shot 80 on Saturday and 83 in the final round for a 163 and Eddie Carnes stroked a 175.

Venuti and Batory shot their lowest scores of the season with 80 and 78 respectively on the first day of the event.

Johnson and Wales (FL) won the team event while Binghamton's Justin Fiedler took the individual title by shooting even on the par 71 course.

The event was the final regular season match for the Explorers who will depart for Orlando, FL on Thursday where they will compete in the three-day Atllantic 10 Championships at Mission Inn.
