2009 Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams

Philadelphia, PA - The Atlantic 10 Conference released its 2009 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference and All-Academic Teams on Thursday and three Explorers were recognized among the honorees: junior Stefany McKee (All-Conference Second Team), freshman Nora McGurkin (All-Conference Rookie Team) and junior Jill Davis (Academic All-Conference Team).

McKee finished the 2009 season ranked first on the team in both goals (33) and points (39), which all marked career-highs. She also went on to tally another career-best with six assists. McKee tied her career-high twice this season when she scored five goals against both Presbyterian (3/8) and Lafayette (4/14). In 16 games this season, she totaled two or more goals 10 times.

McGurkin started in 14 of the 15 games she played in while leading all Explorer freshmen in goals (12), assists (15), points (27) and ground balls (30). The Oreland, PA native was also ranked first on the team in draw controls (45). McGurkin spanned three consecutive games in which she scored two goals and five times she distributed two or more assists.

A Fall 2008 Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll selection, Davis was named to the A-10 All-Academic Team after boasting a 4.0 grade point average (GPA). Davis, the 2007 A-10 Rookie of the Year winner, finished second on the team in both goals (28) and points (36). She dished out a career-high eight assists this season and scored in all but one game. Davis contributed two four-goal performances against Monmouth (3/11) and Lafayette (4/14).
