Howey-in-the-Hills, FL - Steve Sieracki fired a 76 to finish five over par and the La Salle Explorers shot a team total of 320 in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Golf Championships on Mission Inn's par 72 El Campeon course on Friday morning.
Sieracki is 20th out of 60 competitors and eight strokes off the leader, Charlotte's Stefan Wiedergruen.
The team sits in 11th place after day one of competition.
Fellow senior Mike Benzinger shot a 78 and is currently in 29th at seven over par.
Freshman Ed Carnes shot an 82 (+11) while sophomores Sam Venuti and Tyler Batory shot 84 and 88 respectively.
The competition continues with second round action Saturday morning with an 8:00 AM shotgun start.
