Philadelphia, PA – The 2009 La Salle University field hockey schedule will feature eight home games including Atlantic 10 home games with Saint Louis, West Chester and Big 5 rival Saint Joseph’s.
Included in the non-conference schedule is PAC-10 power Stanford on Saturday, October 3rd and another Big 5 foe Villanova the following Sunday, October 11th.
Coach Sarah Catlin returns four of her top five scorers, and a defense that set a 15-year low for goals against average,
“I think this program has seen tremendous growth in all areas. We attract quality competition due to our location and significantly improved playing surface. I have high expectations for the fall squad and look for them to continue to set program standards.”
Opening Day is Friday, August 28 when they visit Monmouth.
The Explorers will not cross sticks at DeVincent field until Wednesday, September 9th when they host Towson at 4:00 PM.
