PHILADELPHIA - Kevin Coleman '05 concluded a successful first season with the Philadelphia KiXX of the National Indoor Soccer League (NISL) by being named to the 2008-09 NISL All-Rookie Team.

Coleman, currently an assistant coach for the men's soccer team here at La Salle, registered an assist in his first professional match on Nov. 15, 2008, from his defense position and also recorded two blocks in 12 games. He is one of two rookie defenders named to the team.

Coleman was a standout during his time as an Explorer. He was twice named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team and was named to the All-Rookie team as a freshman in 2001. As a senior, he was an NSCAA All-American third team selection and an NSCAA Mid-Atlantic first teamer. He was also recognized three times as a Soccer Seven All-Star.
