Philadelphia, PA – Christa Dominick’s latest academic achievement has been a postgraduate scholarship from the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Conference has provided four student-athletes “who have been outstanding as athletes, scholars and citizens and have been accepted for postgraduate studies at an institution of higher learning” with a $5,000 postgraduate scholarship.
In March, Dominick was honored with an NCAA postgraduate scholarship which will be applied to a medical school of her choosing. Dominick was the only member from the A-10 to receive this NCAA award and the only one from the city of Philadelphia, also.
This is just another academic award for the recent graduate. Following the 2008 volleyball season, Dominick was named to the A-10 Academic All-Conference Team and was also a CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team selection.
Dominick is La Salle’s all-time leader in assisted blocks with 280.
