PHILADELPHIA - Senior runner Korey Edwards competed in the 1,500 meter preliminary at the USA Senior Nationals at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field late Thursday night.

Edwards clocked a 3:50.54 to finish 39th out of 46 in a race that saw the qualifying time as fast as 3:41.60. The winner of the race - Nike's Leonel Manzano finished in 3:39.91.

Edwards wrapped up a strong season at La Salle on Thursday night, including an Atlantic 10 800 meter title in this year's outdoor championship and the 1,000 meter title at A-10 indoors.

Several Explorers have yet to compete in Oregon as part of the USA Junior Nationals. Caitlin Storbeck is up next as she runs the 1,500 meter prelim on Saturday at 12:40 PM PDT, with David Hausherr following up in the 10K on Saturday at 6:55 PM PDT. Stephanie Bearish and Samantha Gallagher compete on Sunday - Gallagher's 3,000 meter steeplechase is scheduled for 3:25 PM PDT with Bearish's 3K at 4:35 PM PDT.
