PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle Volleyball Team opens up the 2009 season at home this Friday with the annual La Salle Invitational which includes Air Force, Canisius, Cleveland State and Fairleigh Dickinson. The tournament runs from Friday, August 28 to Saturday, August 29 with five matches taking place each day in Tom Gola Arena.

The Explorers will commence the 2009 La Salle Invitational with an 11 AM match against Fairleigh Dickinson. Play will then resume at 5 PM against Air Force.

On Saturday, the Explorers will compete in back-to-back matches with action beginning at 3:30 PM against Cleveland State and then at 6 PM against Canisius.

For fans who will not be able to attend this weekend’s event, they can watch the matches online. La Salle All-Access will carry the Explorers’ matches against Fairleigh Dickinson and Cleveland State.
