Non-Conference Schedule in PDF Format
PHILADELPHIA – La Salle University Women’s Basketball has released its 2009-10 non-conference schedule, which will feature three squads that played in the NCAA Tournament last season, a pair of Big East teams, and a three-game trip to the Midwest.
The Explorers will open the season at home against Loyola (MD) on Friday, November 13 – just one of six games at Tom Gola Arena on the slate during the non-conference portion of 2009-10.
They will head out on the road for their next four games, which includes a three-game swing through Oklahoma and Kansas. La Salle will face Oral Roberts and Tulsa on back-to-back nights on November 20 and 21 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before taking on Wichita State on Monday the 23rd.
The trip is part of a homecoming of sorts for senior Morgan Robertson, who played high school basketball in Amarillo, Texas, but her family now lives outside of Wichita, Kansas.
La Salle’s return to the Northeast features three NCAA Tournament teams in its next six games, starting with Lehigh at home on November 29, at Drexel on December 5 and versus Villanova at Tom Gola Arena on December 22.
The Wildcats are the second Big East team the Explorers will host this season, as they welcome the Hoyas of Georgetown on December 1.
The road portion of the non-conference schedule ends with the Monmouth Tournament on December 29-30. Along with La Salle and the host Hawks, Howard and Holy Cross will also be involved, but match-ups have not yet been determined.
La Salle closes out the non-conference schedule with two home games in January, hosting Penn on the 2nd and Princeton on the 5th.
The starting times for these games, as well as the Atlantic 10 portion of the schedule will be available later. The schedule can be viewed by clicking on the pdf above or clicking here.
