PHILADELPHIA - Christa Plummer and Andrew Wagoner were named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team in a vote among the city's sports information directors for the outdoor track season.

Plummer added to her reel of honors for the season with the Academic All-Area nod. The graduated senior earned Co-Performer of the Year status for her two gold medals at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship. She was also named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team as well as the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. Plummer went to the NCAA East Regional after qualifying in the 5K and she provisionally qualified in the 10K.

The Academic All-Area nod is the second this year for Wagoner, who also earned it during the cross-country season. Wagoner ran the 10K twice this season and finished 14th in the Atlantic 10 with a season-best 31:42.61. During the cross-country season, he was tabbed Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference in addition to the All-Area squad.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Area team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
