PHILADELPHIA - Goalkeeper Kyle Quigley earned La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week honors as voted on by the Office of Athletic Communications for his stand-out performance last weekend.
Quigley became the first Explorer keeper to record back-to-back shutouts since Stash Graham did it in 2004. He kept Robert Morris off the board in a 4-0 Explorer win and came up with big saves to prevent Big East foe Pittsburgh from scoring in a 2-0 win.
Quigley has played all 380 minutes of the 2009 season after being the reserve goalie for the past three seasons. He has registered 21 saves so far, including 10 this past weekend.
The Explorers continue their four-game road trip at Drexel on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
