PHILADELPHIA - The accolades keep coming in for La Salle men's soccer after a big weekend that saw the Explorers shut out both Pittsburgh and Robert Morris in the City of Pittsburgh Invitational.
Kyle Quigley, Ryan Tadley, Ryan Sepe and Dan Korenyi were named to the all-tourament team for their play last weekend. The Explorers also garnered their first NSCAA Mid-Atlantic regional ranking in several years as they appeared at No. 8 on this week's list.
Quigley - the reigning Soccer Six Player of the Week - made 10 saves on the weekend to keep the Panthers and Colonials off the board.
Sepe scored one goal and assisted on another in a three-point day at Robert Morris. He now has two goals already this season after being limited to just three shots in 2008.
Tadley and Korenyi earned all-tournament honors after spearheading the Explorers' strong defense that helped prevent either opponent from scoring.
The Explorers continue a four-game road trip at Drexel today at 4:00 PM and at Adelphi on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 3:00 PM.
