GREENSBORO, NC – The La Salle volleyball team met up with Georgetown on Friday, in its first match of the UNC Greensboro Tournament, unfortunately the Hoyas started off strong and eventually won the contest, 3-0 (18-25, 19-25, 11-25).

Senior Rachel Stemper finished one dig shy of reaching double figures, ending with nine, while also tallying seven kills and two assists. Junior Carly Conlon led all Explorers with 11 assists and freshman Lauren Noga contributed four kills, three digs, a service ace and an assisted block.

The Hoyas were led by sophomore Ashley Malone and her match-high 33 assists. Junior Vanessa Dorismond was the only participant to reach double-digit kills, with 10, sophomore Tory Rezin paced everyone with 16 digs and freshman Lindsay Wise totaled six blocks.

The Explorers (2-12) will return to the court again this evening when they take on NC State at 5 PM.
