GREENSBORO, NC - The La Salle volleyball team looked to finish the UNC Greensboro Tournament strong on Saturday, but a 3-0 (18-25, 11-25, 15-25) loss to High Point and a 3-0 (13-25, 13-25, 18-25) loss to host UNC Greensboro left the Explorers winless in the two-day stretch.

Senior Rachel Stemper recorded her ninth double-double of the season, and her second in the last four matches, with 11 kills and 11 digs against UNC Greensboro. In the day's earlier match versus High Point, Stemper paced the team with seven kills while also contributing six digs. She was later named to the UNC Greensboro All-Tournament Team.

Against UNC Greensboro, freshman Samantha Tulskie was the only other Explorer to garner double-digit digs, ending with 11, and junior Carly Conlon and sophomore Kourtney Clark combined for 17 assists.

Sophomore Luciana Shafer led the Spartans, and all contestants in the match, with 12 kills while adding nine digs and a service ace. Freshman Ari Lysacek recorded a match-high 31 assists, seven digs, a service ace and an assisted block.

The Explorers (2-15) will play the first of three consecutive home matches on Tuesday, Sept. 22, when they host Delaware State at 7 PM.
