PHILADELPHIA - Freshman runner Joe Beveridge was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week for his performance at the Boston University Invitational, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Beveridge was the top rookie finisher for the Explorers on Sunday morning as he placed 20th out of 79 runners in Boston's Franklin Park. He clocked a 25:48 in the 8K race.

Beveridge was one of several Explorer runners to pace the team to a sweep in the team scoring. La Salle topped Brown, Marist and host BU.

The rookie from Harrisburg, PA, comes to 20th and Olney after a decorated high school career. He is a two-time Pennsylvania Class AA state champion as well as a two-time outdoor 3,200m state champion. Beveridge was also an NSIC qualifier in the 5K and qualified for the Foot Locker Northeast Regional.

Beveridge joins an Explorer team ranked seventh in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic regional preseason poll.
