PHILADELPHIA - Senior swimmer Shannon Duval has been named the La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 17th.

The reigning Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week posted yet another banner weekend as she captured three individual first place finishes at the Rhode Island Invitational and helped two relay squads to gold. Her winning 200 yard breaststroke time also set a new pool record at URI's Tootell Aquatic Center.

Duval won the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke as well as the 200 yard individual medley, in addition to having a leg on the 200- and 400-yard medley relays.

Behind Duval's performance, the Explorers earned second place in the three-team meet, just behind 21st-ranked Massachusetts.
