PHILADELPHIA - La Salle standout cross country/track & field alum Sean Quigley '08 is set to compete at the 2010 IAAF/Sinopec World Half Marathon Championships on Saturday, Oct. 16, in Nanning, China.
Quigley qualified to run with Team USA after a decisive win at the USA 20K Championships in New Haven, Conn., last month. Quigley completed the 20K in 59:21, marking a successful debut in the distance. The longest he had previously run was a 15K.
Quigley joins 2010 USA Half Marathon champion Antonio Vega and USA 25K champion Andrew Carlson on Team USA. The American team finished a team-best fourth at last year's World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham, England.
