LAFAYETTE HILL, PA - Junior Randy Kurzinsky came up one shot short of the medalist with a 75 (+3) to lead the La Salle golf team to a third place finish at the Philadelphia University Classic on Tuesday afternoon at the ACE Club. He placed third in the field of 57 golfers.

Classmate Tyler Batory recorded an 80 (+8) and placed tenth, while reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week, freshman Mike Johnson, had an 82 (+10). He finished 19th.

Freshmen Chris Costantino (85, 24th) and Tommy Horgan (86, 29th) rounded out the La Salle scorecard.

Drexel won the team event with a 316 (+28), followed by Goldy-Beacom (320, +32) and La Salle (323, +35). The Dragons Ben Feld had a 74 to win the individual title.

La Salle will return to the links in March in preparation for the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship on April 30-May 2 at the Mission Inn Resort outside of Orlando, Florida.
