PHILADELPHIA - La Salle standout cross country/track & field alum and current assistant coach Christa Plummer '09 punched her ticket to the United States Olympic Trials with her run at the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 3, in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Plummer ran her first marathon in 2:45.13, placing 15th overall and seventh in the female age 22-29 division. Her time placed her within the 2012 Olympic Trials standard of 2:46.00.

With the qualification, Plummer will compete in the Olympic Trials on Jan. 14, 2012, in Houston, Texas.
