PHILADELPHIA - La Salle senior forward Ryan Richter (Southampton, PA/William Tennent) was named the school's Student-Athlete of the Week after scoring two game-winning goals in the Explorers' 2-0 week.

Richter, who was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, notched a goal with just 29 seconds remaining in the first half at Saint Joseph's on Wednesday. That proved to be the game winner as the Explorers dropped the Hawks 1-0 for their first win of the season.

Richter once again scored the game winner - and game's only goal - in the first half against Temple on Saturday, which held up in the final 1-0 score.

The senior leads the squad in goals (5), points (11) and shots taken (41). He ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in goals and points, just behind Duquesne's Simon Gomez with six and 13, respectively. His 41 shots (5.12/game) is tops in the conference.

The Explorers have now won two straight to finish up the non-conference season and will kick off Atlantic 10 play on Friday, when they host Fordham at 7:30 PM.
