WILMINGTON, DE - La Salle placed three players in the top 10, including a fourth place finish by junior Randy Kurzinsky, as the Explorers won the Swarthmore Invitational in the rain on Monday afternoon at Rock Manor Golf Course. Kurzinsky shot a 76 (+5) to lead the Blue and Gold.

"It was a nice win in some very tough conditions," head coach Sal Caimano said. "It gives us some confidence heading into the Big Five Invitational this weekend."

Freshman Mike Johnson shot a 78 (+7) to place seventh, while classmate Tommy Horgan had a 80 (+9) and finished tenth. Junior Tyler Batory (82, +11) tied for 17th while freshman Chris Costantino tied for 36th with an 87 (+16) in the 76-player field.

Penn's Phil Winter shot a 73 (+2) to win the individual title.

The Explorers will travel to Plymouth Country Club this weekend for the Big Five Invitational.
