PHILADELPHIA - The women's varsity eight boat competed at the Head of the Occoquan regatta in Fairfax Station, VA, this weekend and finished in the top half of the race.

The Explorers clocked an 18:46.98 to finish 12th out of 25 boats in the race. They edged out the University of Mary Washington by 4.5 seconds and finished just behind Loyola College (MD).

Georgetown won the race with a time of 17:18.17.

The La Salle rowing teams return to action next Saturday (11/13) when they compete at the Frostbite Regatta to wrap up the fall rowing season.
