La Salle Explorers (3-5)
Conference: Atlantic 10

The Explorers host cross-river foe Rider on Sunday in the team's last home game of the calendar year before playing on the road for nearly a month. After today, the Explorers do not play another home contest until Jan. 15.

The squad is now 3-5 overall after dropping a tough contest at Lafayette last Saturday. Three Explorers scored in double figures against the Leopards, including Nadia Duncan's game-high 18 points. Michea Bryant added 11 to score in double figures for the second straight game, and Ebonee Jones chipped in 10. Jess Koci continued to dominate the boards by pulling down 10, the third time in her rookie season that she pulled down double-digit rebounds.

Ashley Gale continues to lead the Explorer offense, putting in 13.3 points per contest. Duncan is adding 11.3 per game and Jones is chipping in 9.8. Koci, who has led the Explorers in rebounding in six of the eight contests this season, also adds 8.4 points per game.

Rider Broncs (0-8)
Conference: Metro Atlantic Athletic (MAAC)

The Broncs come in to today's contest seeking their first win of the 2010-11 season. They hosted No. 11 Georgetown last Saturday, falling 81-54 to the Hoyas. Ali Heller and Alicia Hall posted double-digit scoring, with Heller leading the squad with 13 and Hall chipping in 10.

La Salle is the second Atlantic 10 foe of the season for the Broncs, who fell 67-55 to Fordham on Dec. 8.

Shereen Lightbourne leads the Bronc offense with 8.1 points per game. Caitlin Bopp, who missed the Georgetown game, has been adding 8.0 points and a team-high 9.5 rebounds per game. Sarah Homan also leads the defensive effort with a team-high 13 blocks and is adding 6.1 rebounds per game to go along with 6.1 points per game.
