PHILADELPHIA -
Michelle Serabian, who has served the past two years as the Athletic Communications Assistant at La Salle, has been promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, it was announced today.
"Michelle has proven to be a loyal and hard-working professional during her time at La Salle," Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Kevin Bonner said. "She has embraced our video and social media initiatives and is the perfect fit to help us promote our teams and student-athletes."
In her new role, she will be the primary media contact for the women's basketball program and first-year head coach Jeff Williams.
"I'm honored to have the opportunity to advance in the La Salle athletic department," Serabian said. "It's exciting to be a part of an athletic communications staff that is expanding into new technologies and initiatives, and to work with a new and energized coaching staff to promote the women's basketball program."
Serabian arrived at La Salle in 2008 and has publicized the men's soccer, cross country, track and field, rowing and softball teams while serving as the assistant media contact for the men's basketball squad. She has traveled to several Atlantic 10 Championships, including men's soccer, cross country and indoor and outdoor track, to provide video highlights and blogs.
Prior to La Salle, Serabian served a year as the web intern for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) where she was responsible for editing and creating new content for theacc.com. She has also worked in the sports information offices at Princeton, The College of New Jersey and Bucknell. Serabian also served seven seasons as a game day assistant with the Lakewood Blue Claws minor league baseball club.
Serabian is a 2007 graduate (cum laude) of The College of New Jersey with a bachelor's degree in interactive multimedia.
