Results

LEWISBURG, PA - The men’s swimming & diving squad defeated Bucknell, 150-144, while the women’s team fell 198-102 to the Bison.

For the men, the meet came down to the final event, the 400-free relay. Austin Thomas, Dave Derr, Sean McCall and Brian Batson took first with a time of 3:06.77, giving the Explorers the win.

Blase Szyszko won the 100-breast (57.81) and 200-breast (2:05.35). Austin Thomas picked up victories in the 50-free (20.95) and 100-fly (50.40).

Charlie Zettel notched a victory in the 200-fly (1:51.30) and a second-place finish in the 100-fly (50.67).

For the women, Emily Heath took second in the 500-free (5:12.08) and third in the 1000-free (10:32.38).

Jessica Simunek took second in both  the 100-breast (1:07.34) and 200-breast (2:23.55).

On the diving board, Laurie McLaughin won the 1-meter (264.90) and 3-meter events (267.53).  The men went 1-2-3 in the 1-and 3-meter dives behind performances from Jordan Baker, Robert Freeling and Tyler Rieker.

The Explorers have wrapped up competition for 2010 and will resume their season in 2011.
