PHILADELPHIA - Following a stellar weekend at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track Championship, senior Korey Edwards was named the La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week.

Edwards won two individual events and helped win a relay crown en route to being named the conference's Performer of the Year. He successfully defended his 1000 meter title and ran the third leg of the two-time Atlantic 10 champion 4x800 meter relay squad. He also won gold in the mile, as he and teammate Trevon Rainford finished 1-2 in that race.

Behind Edwards' performance this weekend, the Explorers finished fourth in the team standings.

Edwards still has more indoor competition left, as he qualified multiple times for the IC4A Championship, set for March 6-7.
