GAINESVILLE, FL - Due to travel issues because of inclement weather in the Northeast, this weekend's college baseball series at McKethan Stadium between No. 5 Florida (5-0) and La Salle (0-3) was cancelled.

The Gators and Explorers were slated to play a three-game series starting on Friday at 6:30 PM. The start was pushed back, playing a doubleheader consisting of two nine-inning games on Saturday at 2 p.m and Sunday's finale at noon, but the snow caused too much delay.

La Salle is now scheduled to host its home opener on Wednesday against Lafayette with first pitch scheduled for 3 PM at Hank DeVincent Field.
