PHILADELPHIA - La Salle track senior Kellilyn Fierras has been named the Student-Athlete of the Week, based on a vote by the Office of Athletic Communications.

Fierras led the Explorers at the NYU FasTracks meet this past Friday with an ECAC qualifying time of 2:13.07, her best of the season and best by an Explorer female this season. She finished fourth out of 34 runners in the race.

Her performance came on the heels of a silver medal in the 1000 meters the weekend before at the Atlantic 10 Championship.

Fierras and the rest of the Explorers return to action on Saturday when they compete in the ECAC and IC4A Championships at Boston University.
