ANNAPOLIS, MD - Sophomore Randy Kurzinsky and classmate Ed Carnes shot rounds of 77 and 78 to lead the La Salle golf team in the first round of the Navy Spring Invitational. Kurzinsky is tied for 29th in the 104-player field, while Carnes is tied for 37th.

Sophomore Tyler Batory and senior Joe Perese each carded 89s, while Jake Costigan shot a 104 at the par-71, 6,528 Naval Academy Golf Course.

As a team, La Salle shot a first round score of 333 (+49). Navy is in the lead at two-over and is 10 shots ahead of Columbia. Navy's Ben Hayves carded a four-under round of 67 to lead the field by four shots.
