Batory Paces La Salle At Peacock Invitational

NESHANIC STATION, NJ - Sophomore Tyler Batory carded a team-best 78 (+7) as the La Salle golf team shot its best score of the spring to finish seventh at the Saint Peter's Peacock Invitational, played at Neshanic Valley Golf Course on Tuesday. Batory tied for 21st in the 51-player field with his season best score.

Sophomore Ed Carnes recorded a 79 (+8) and tied for 24th. Sophomore Randy Kurzinsky carded an 82 (37th) while James Chrismer and Joe Taorima each shot 87s to tie for 43rd.

The Explorers carded a team-score of 326. Bucknell won the event by eight strokes over Iona with a 291. Iona's Dylan Newman shot a one-under 71 and won a match of cards with Bucknell's Jeff Pike for the individual title.

La Salle returns to the links at the Atlantic 10 Championship from April 30-May 2.
