PHILADELPHIA - Following their impressive win at the Kerr Cup this past weekend, La Salle's men's varsity eight rowers have been nominated for "Crew of the Week" on row2k.com.

The Explorers dominated the field at the Kerr Cup as coxswain Keith Ferguson, Ian DiMatteo, Brett Kader, Matt Wiedemer, Michael Hopp, Andrew Weeks, Joe Hughes, Giovanni Finazzo and Max Orenstein clocked a 6:02.3 to win the race. Fordham was second with a time of 6:05.58 and Army came in third with a 6:15.50.

The Explorer boat is one of five boats nationally to be nominated this week. The winner is based on votes tallied online, so CLICK HERE to place your vote for the Explorers!

The La Salle rowing team returns to the water on Saturday as they compete in the Bergen Cup on the Schuylkill River.
