PHILADELPHIA - The rowers in the men's novice four boat have been named La Salle's Student-Athletes of the Week, based on a vote by the Office of Athletic Communications.

The boat, coxed by George McBlane and including Jack Rosenthal, Nick Dillon, Pat McElroy and Matt Schluckebier, rowed its first-ever race together and came in first place in the grand final at the Murphy Cup on Saturday. The crew outpaced Colgate by just over three seconds in clocking a 7:01.09 and was in command of the race with 250 meters to do.

They advanced to the final by finishing first in heat 1 with a 6:54.15 to beat out second place New York Maritime by over nine seconds.
