PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle swimming & diving program has released its 2010-11 schedule, set to kick off on October 22 when the Explorers take on Villanova.
The 2010-11 edition features three home meets in Kirk Pool, with two of those meets against Philadelphia foes. The Explorers host their first home meet of the season on October 23, hosting Drexel in a 1:00 PM competition. They also close the home schedule on February 2, 2011, with a meet against Penn on Senior Day.
The schedule also features the three-day Frank Elm Super Splash at Rutgers in mid-November and a 10-day training trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The Explorers will vie for Atlantic 10 accolades at the four-day conference championship, set for February 23-26, 2011, at Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY. They will be led by returnees Tom Lawrie, the reigning Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Rookie, and Blase Szyszko, owner of several Rookie of the Week honors this past season. On the women's side, Emily Heath will return, looking to defend her medals.
