July 30, 2010

PHILADELPHIA - Rising junior Tyler Jones rounded out his 2009-10 season by earning All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA).

Jones, an Information Technology major, is one of 357 honorees from 118 institutions, including four other individuals from the Atlantic 10. Joining Jones from the A-10 are Darius Law and Korel Mack from Charlotte; Matt Llano from Richmond; and Robert Keogh from Temple.

Jones also finished fifth at the IC4A Championship in May, clocking a 30:47.43. Earlier in May, he finished eighth in the 5K run at the Atlantic 10 Championship. During the indoor season, he finished fifth in the 5K at A-10's. He entered the indoor A-10's with the league's second-best 5K time, a season-best 14:22.89 at Boston University's Terrier Invitational.
