PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University Lacrosse team has been named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Squad, the IWLCA recently announced.

The IWLCA honored 51 teams who achieved a team grade point average of at least 3.0 during the 2010 season.

The Explorers' 2010 season, which included a program-best nine victories, including five in the Atlantic 10, cumulated in a trip to the A-10 tournament as the No. 2 seed.

Temple, Duquesne and George Washington were other A-10 schools that also received the distinction.
