PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle golf team will open its season at the Navy Fall Classic on Saturday at the Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, MD. The 36-hole event tees off at 8 AM each day.

The Explorers return six letterwinners from last season, including juniors Randy Kurzinsky and Tyler Batory. Another junior, Ed Carnes, was the top La Salle finisher at A-10s last season, will join the team following swimming season. The Blue and Gold also feature a talented freshmen class in Mike Johnson, Chris Costantino and Tommy Horgan.

The Invitational will be played on the 6,528 yard-par 71 course. Other schools participating include: Navy, Brown, Delaware, Drexel, George Washington, Georgetown, McDaniel, Penn, Rollins, Siena, Saint Joseph's, Towson and Villanova.
