Freshman Mike Johnson shot a 74 for the second straight day to lead the La Salle golf team at the Navy Fall Classic on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Johnson recorded a 74-74-=148 (+6) to tie for 23rd in his first collegiate competition.
Junior Randy Kurzinsky shot a 77 on Sunday to go with his 80 on Saturday for a 157 (+15) and tied for 64th. Classmate Tyler Batory had a 79-80=159 (+17) to tie for 70th, while freshman Chris Costantino had an 81-87=168 (+26) for 88th place.
Delaware won the team title with a score of 274-295=569 (+1) to edge Towson by eight strokes. Georgetown finished third, followed by Navy and Villanova.
Towson's John Duthie followed his 63 on Saturday with a one-under 70 to win the individual title by two strokes over Delaware's Justin Martinson.
La Salle is back in action on September 27 at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational.
