Results

PHILADELPHIA - In a final tune-up before the official start of the 2010 season, several members of the La Salle cross country team competed in a non-scoring scrimmage against Temple at Valley Green on Wednesday evening.

Paul Reilly paced the Explorer men, finishing first in the men's four-mile race with a time of 22:09. Peter Frien also finished in the top five, placing fourth with a 22:15. Zach Sullivan rounded out the top 10 with a ninth place finish, crossing the line in 22:31.

Elizabeth Walker led the Explorer women in the three-mile race, running a 19:55 for second place, just behind Temple's Rebecca Mims. Also in the top 10 were Jessica DiVenere (6th; 20:30) and Karen Wojciechowski (9th; 21:09).

The Explorers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 11., when they head to Penn State for the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational, starting at 10:00 AM.
