PHILADELPHIA - Going into the fall season, women’s tennis coach Tony Green said he was looking to his freshmen to make an immediate impact.
One freshman came through in a big way as La Salle defeated Philadelphia University, 4-3.
In the deciding match, Leah Garrison earned a 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-1) victory at No. 3 singles and the match win for the Explorers.
La Salle swept in doubles to gain the point. Chloe Trave at the No. 5 position and Courtney Babo at the No. 6 slot also posted wins for the Explorers.
The team will take its three-game winning streak to Kutztown for a match on Friday at 3:30 pm.
