Nick Crits, Nick Ross, Meghan Lutz and Meghan McGlinchey and posted IC4A/ECAC qualifying times during the Explorers competition at the Gotham Cup this weekend. The men’s 4x800m relay of Wayne Bartholomew, Terence McPeak, Sean Mallon and Paul Reilly also qualified for the IC4As with a 7:50.69.
Crits won the 1 mile run with a time of 4:08.65 and Ross finished right behind him in second at 4:09.96, with both qualifying for the IC4As.
Last week, Crits qualified for the IC4As in the 1000m.
Lutz and Meghan McGlinchey finished second (9:54.50) and fourth (9:56.41) overall in the 3,000 to clinch their ECAC berths.
Chelsea Harris finished second in the 800m (2:22.11). Samantha Gallagher was 12th overall in the 1,000 (3:06.29).
In the mile, Caitlin Storbeck and Wendy Hutchinson took fourth and fifth place, posting a 5:05.62 and 5:10.27, respectively.
Karim Brooks finished second in her 500m heat (1.19.77).
Dominque Best placed seventh overall in the long jump (17’11.75”).
In the women’s 4x800, the Explorers took second (9:35.01) behind performances by Gallagher, Hutchinson, Storbeck and Kathleen O’Brien.
The La Salle men’s team of Colin Barrett, Brandon Clarke, Steve Kandetzke and Matthew Fin won the DMR in 10:25.44.
McPeak finished fourth in the 800m (1:55.07), while Bartholomew was eighth in the same event (1:55.47).
In the 3,000, Dave Hausherr came in fourth (8:31.84). Reilly took second in his 1,000m heat (2:29.96).
