The Explorers are back in action on Wednesday evening when it hosts first place Duquesne at 7 PM at Tom Gola Arena. Senior Ruben Guillandeaux is approaching 1,000 points and needs just five more to become the 50th La Salle men's basketball player to reach that milestone. Tonight's matchup pits the top two scoring teams in the Atlantic 10 against each other.

Freshman Tyreek Duren, who has made 17 free throws, will be matched up against fellow top rookie point guard T.J. McConnell of Duquesne. The two played against each other in last year's PIAA Class AAA State Championship which Neumann-Goretti won.

Freshman Sam Mills is shooting 15-for-26 (57.6%) from three-point range over his last seven games. He is fourth in the A-10 in three-point shooting (48.8%).

Sophomore Aaric Murray is third all-time at La Salle in blocks (109) and needs 12 to pass Lionel Simmons and move into second place all-time.

Duquesne Dukes (11-5, 3-0 A-10)
Conference: Atlantic 10

Duquesne is coming off a decisive 78-66 victory over #19 Temple on Saturday for its sixth straight win. The Dukes are 11-5 and in first place in the Atlantic 10 with a 3-0 record.

Bill Clark leads the way at 16.9 ppg. followed by Damian Saunders at 12.1 ppg. He also leads DU with 7.5 rpg. Freshman T.J. McConnell averages 11.3 ppg. and B.J. Montiero adds 10.3 ppg. for the highest scoring team in the A-10.

The Series
La Salle leads the all-time series 36-29 and is 22-9 at home and 8-4 at Gola Arena. La Salle also leads the series 16-12 since joining the A-10 in 1995-96. The teams met in the 1950 and 1952 NIT Tournament.

Last Meeting
Duquesne rallied from a 14-point first half deficit and controlled play in the second half to earn a 102-83 victory over La Salle at the Palumbo Center. Senior Rodney Green had 27 points and nine rebounds for the Explorers, who were playing their first game without the injured Yves Mekongo. Duquesne's Bill Clark scored a career-best 34 points off the bench.
