NEW YORK - The La Salle track and field team competed at the Great Dane Invitational in New York on Friday.

Stephanie Bearish posted an ECAC qualifying time en route to winning the mile run (4:58.30).  Teammates Meghan Lutz (5:05.07) and Meghan McGlinchey (5:06.74) finished third and fifth, respectively.

In the 1,000m run, Caitlin Storbeck finished third overall (2:55.33), while teammate Wendy Hutchinson came in fifth (2:57.83).

Colleen Boland finished third in the 3,000m (18:27.88), while Kathleen Boland came in sixth in the same event (19:01.78).

On the men’s side, Daniel Day finished seventh in the 5,000m (19.09.55). The La Salle women’s team finished eighth in the 17-team competition.

The men’s DMR squad of Kasey Geller, Wayne Bartholomew, Daniel Galeano and David Hausherr took fourth with a time of 10:09.73.

Terence McPeak placed sixth in the 1,000 run (2:29.36).

Other members of the Explorer team will compete tomorrow at the Princeton Relays.
