PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Ebonee Jones was named the La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 2, based on a vote by the Office of Athletic Communications.

Jones, who found herself back in the starting lineup at Maryland's Terrapin Classic last week, made the most of her three starts on the week. She sank a career- and game-high 18 points against the 20th-ranked Terrapins before breaking that career high in the consolation game against Liberty with 20 points. Her 20 points was also a game high. She rounded out the week with 13 points at Lehigh.

Jones pulled down nine rebounds against the Terrapins, just one shy of registering a double-double. She added four boards against Liberty and eight at Lehigh.

On the week, she averaged 17.0 points and seven rebounds, her best three-game stretch of the season. She is averaging 11.6 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game for the season, both ranking her second on the team in those respective categories.

Jones and the rest of the Explorers are back on the court tonight at Princeton, with tip-off at 7:00 PM.
