The Explorers will look to snap Temple’s 11-game winning streak when they head down Broad Street to face the Owls in an Atlantic 10 and Big 5 matchup on Saturday at 2:00 p.m in McGonigle Hall.

Temple has not lost since December 30, 2010 and has put together its longest win streak since the 2006-07 season.  The team has a 9-0 conference record.

The Owls present a balanced attack, with Shey Peddy, Kristen McCarthy and Qwedia Wallace averaging 13.6, 12.7 and 12.6 points per game, respectively.  All three of those players have notched their 1,000th career point this season.

The Explorers are on a winning streak of their own, as they took their last two games by an average of 13.5 points.

La Salle beat Rhode Island, 61-49, its last time out.  Senior Ashley Gale poured in 21 points, while freshman Jess Koci and junior Nadia Duncan tallied 11 and 12 rebounds, respectively, marking the second time this season a pair of Explorers have recorded double-figure rebounds.

Gale ranks first in the A-10 and sixth in Division I in three pointers made per game with 3.2.  Her 18.3 points per game are good for fourth in the A-10 and 28th in Division I.

Koci is second in the A-10 in offensive rebounding and fifth in overall rebounding (7.8 rpg).
