JERSEY CITY, NJ - The women’s tennis team dropped its spring season-opener to Saint Peter’s College, 6-1, on Monday afternoon.
Freshman Chloe Trave picked up the Explorers’ lone win on the day by defeating the Peacock’s Vanessa Vogel at fifth singles. Trave took the first set 7-5, but then dropped the second 0-6. She rallied back in the tiebreak, winning 10-3, to earn a point for La Salle.
The Explorers will continue to practice and prepare for the spring season. They will next compete during spring break in Orlando, FL. La Salle will play three matched over a three-day span from March 7-9 against Creighton, Robert Morris and Olivet Nazarene.
