PHILADELPHIA - After going 6-8 in the Atlantic 10 this season, the Explorers have earned the No. 9 seed in the 2011 A-10 Tournament, as announced by the conference yesterday.

La Salle will open play against No. 8 Saint Joseph’s at Noon on Friday at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass.

It will be a revenge match of sorts, as the Explorers fell 77-60 during the regular-season meeting between the two squads.
