PHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle baseball fans won't have to wait as long as expected to get their first glimpse of the 2011 squad.
Wednesday's game against Lafayette, which was originally scheduled to be played in Easton, has been moved to Hank DeVincent Field due to poor field conditions at Lafayette.
The particulars of the game will stay the same, a 3 p.m. first pitch with RHP Dominic Sgroi (0-0, 4.76) getting the start for La Salle. RHP Kevin Casey (0-0, 0.00) will get the ball for Lafayette.
The Leopards (0-3) are coming off a trio of losses last weeked in a tournament at Davidson, two at the hands of the host Wildcats and one to Ohio.
The Explorers (3-2) swept a road series at Longwood last weekend.
Admission is free to all La Salle baseball games at Hank DeVincent Field.
